Woman says the man kept lunging at her after he pulled his shorts down.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman out for a run on the Leon Creek Greenway Trail says a man flashed her and tried to grab her.
She called police for help and an arrest has been made.
The call for help came from near the Mainland Trailhead, off the 7800 block of Bandera Road on February 5.
The victim says a strange man started lunging at her while she jogged and when she told him to get away or she would call police.
The 31-year-old woman said the man pulled his shorts down, exposed himself and continued to try and grab her.
She told police the man was talking but not making any sense and she was afraid she was going to be attacked so she called police.
An arrest warrant says police arrived and found 32-year-old Nathaniel Boyd nearby and he matched the description given by the victim.
Police say she was able to pick Boyd out of a photo lineup with six pictures.
The indecency charge Boyd is facing is a misdemeanor.
Boyd’s bond is $10,000 on that charge but the same day he was arrested, he was charged with a felony for obstruction or retaliation.
We asked for that report and will share the details when the report becomes available.
The bond on the most recent charge is $25,000. He remains in jail and if he is able to post bond, a judge has established additional special conditions: full GPS monitoring, drug and alcohol testing and no firearms possession.
The City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department has a safety effort underway as part of their “Take to the Trails” Campaign.
It’s common sense tips like be aware of the mile markers in case you need help, make sure your phone is charged, use the buddy system and stay on main trails.
