ZAVALLA, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Zavalla is without its own police department after state regulators forced a shutdown and a proposed deal with the county fell apart.
State regulators forced Zavalla to shut down its police department on May 1.
The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement identified multiple violations within the department's records and operations.
