TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The annual Tyler Juneteenth Parade brought families and neighbors downtown to celebrate freedom, culture and community.

Even with heavy rain, crowds lined the streets to support local groups, enjoy the festivities, and keep the tradition going.

Umbrellas in hand, and some without, East Texans celebrated Tyler's annual Juneteenth event, rain or shine."We're excited to be out here," said Vernita Williams, who insisted the weather would not stop the celebration.
