MARION COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A home of a convicted drug dealer is being converted into a substation for the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

The house is in the Pine Harbor subdivision, west of the county seat of Jefferson."This particular house used to be the homeowners association building, and it was a home operating base for a lot of the drug activity or the criminal activity coming in and out of the neighborhood," said Captain Jack Pearl.

"This is just a culmination of a community wide effort to really crack down and start bringing some new, fresh and clean life into the community."Pearl said the house was seized and just recently rewarded to the county."We will be able to put a new sheriff's office substation out here," Pearl said.
