(KGNS) - The South Texas Food Bank is calling for community support after flooding struck most of its service area, marking the first time in the organization's history that the majority of its counties have been impacted simultaneously.

According to the food bank, six of the eight counties it serves - Val Verde, Maverick, Kinney, Dimmit, Webb and Zapata - are reporting flood-related damage.
