MINEOLA, Texas (KLTV) - Ten-year-old Luna Cruz performs a daily finger prick to monitor her blood sugar, a routine she's maintained for three years since her Type 1 diabetes diagnosis."Took a lot of bloodwork, gave me a lot of finger pokes, so I have band aids all over my fingers right here, but not on my pinkie cause I was too scared to do my pinkie," Luna said.

Her mother, Chelsey Clair, said Luna caught every bug and flu for two years.

She was losing weight and sleeping all day.
