Due to popular demand, the City of Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Clear River Ice Cream and Bakery, will expand the capacity of its third annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Over the last two years, the event has featured around 30 participants at the John Wm.

Klein Room, but in 2026 the event will move to Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park's Pioneer Pavilion and feature space for up to 74 gingerbread houses.
