Community urged to wear purple in support of domestic violence survivors

In light of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Hill Country Crisis Council has announced its intention to participate in Purple Thursday on Thursday, Oct.

In light of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Hill Country Crisis Council has announced its intention to participate in Purple Thursday on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Purple Thursday is a day dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and showing support for survivors, according to HCCC.

As such, anyone interested in participating - from individuals, businesses, schools and community organizations - is encouraged to wear purple as a visible symbol of solidarity with those impacted by domestic violence.
