LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A new grant is allowing the YWCA in Lubbock to bring National Fatherhood Initiative resources to fathers and father figures in the city.

The National Fatherhood Initiative launched in 1994 to give dads resources to be better parents and strengthen families.

The YWCA, which has operated in Lubbock since 1956, received a grant through the Health and Human Services Commission in May to fund the local program.
