GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas - After 42 years of questions, sleepless nights and relentless searching, Tim Miller finally had the chance to look the man convicted in his daughter's death directly in the eye, and deliver a message.
"I wish you the best. Unfortunately, you're going to die in prison," Miller told James Elmore Jr. during Tuesday's sentencing hearing.
A jury sentenced Elmore to the maximum 20 years in prison for manslaughter in connection with the 1984 death of 16-year-old Laura Miller, whose remains were found in League City in what became known as the Texas Killing Fields.
