The Boerne Independent School District will serve as a 2026-2027 District of Lifesavers in partnership with the American Heart Association, reinforcing a commitment to building healthier, safer communities while empowering students to lead through service and compassion.

At the center of this effort is the Kids Heart Challenge, which encourages students to learn about heart health, engage in physical wellness activities, and support life-saving research and education.

This past May, Boerne ISD recognized a group of elementary students whose efforts stood out across the region.
