LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - With temperatures expected to reach triple digits, the Lubbock Police Department is reminding residents that leaving a child or animal in a car is dangerous.
Kasie Davis with the Lubbock Police Department said the law applies to children 7 years old and under who are left alone in a vehicle for more than five minutes.
There is an exception if there is an individual who is 14 years or older in the car with that child.
