KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- A homicide investigation was underway in the Katy area on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to the scene in the 6400 block of Hayman Drive around noon.

While HCSO confirmed that a homicide investigation was underway, deputies did not immediately provide details on the victim or manner of death.
