LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The inaugural Lubbock Sacred Harp Convention will take place June 26-28, drawing singers from across the country to perform shape note music.

The convention will feature participants from Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, New Mexico and across Texas.

A singing school and welcome reception will be held Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at 2807 42nd St. The convention will meet Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, at 9 a.m. both days at the 6666 Barn of the National Ranching Heritage Center, 3121 4th St. Dinner on the grounds will be served each day at noon as a potluck.
