ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU/Gray Media) - A small plane made an emergency landing Monday in the Brooks Range, shortly after taking off from Coldfoot for Anaktuvuk Pass.
According to the NTSB, the pilot reported the engine began surging and making an unusual whiny or groaning sound before the aircraft could no longer maintain altitude.
One of the nine passengers aboard the Wright Air Service Cessna Caravan recorded video as the plane began going down.
