GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A nonprofit veteran services organization is moving forward with plans to build homes for homeless veterans on Gregg County property.

Debra Christian, the director of the Christian Restoration Community Residential Care Program in Tyler said grant-funded cleanup and assessment work is ongoing for the program.

Debra Christian said the property was once part of a 665-acre tract owned by her grandfather.
