The Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation July 30 recognized students and local employers who participated in the 2026 Home to Texas internship program, an initiative that helps connect talented students with local employers while strengthening Kendall County's future workforce.

BKCEDC hosted its annual Home to Texas Intern Reception at Sunny's All Day Brunch & Bar, bringing together interns, host employers, community leaders and community partners to celebrate the program's impact on students, local businesses, and Kendall County's future workforce.

The Home to Texas internship program connects University of Texas students with employers in their hometown communities, providing students with meaningful professional experience while introducing them to rewarding career opportunities close to home.
