The City of Kerrville announced that Texas Department of Transportation crews removed the concrete barriers from the Sidney Baker Bridge, marking a significant milestone after damage from the July 16 flood forced several lanes to close.
According to the city's Communications Officer Martin Greenwell, the city "appreciates TxDOT's continued efforts to complete this important infrastructure project and extends its thanks to residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and understanding" as work continued on the bridge.
