BELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - More than 40 state legislators have joined together demanding for a comprehensive review of the proposed 765kV power lines that are projected to stretch through Bell County.

43 legislators, to be exact, have signed onto the motion and are asking the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to postpone the project while more studies and reviews are done and that landowners concerns are taken into account.

"We want the PUC to consider the project in total and consider if this is even the right step forward for Texas," says Brad Buckley, representative for District 54, who represents much of Bell County.
