FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - A military jury this week sentenced a Sgt. Maj. Victor M. Rivera, a senior noncommissioned officer stationed at Fort Hood, to 25 years in prison in the sexual assaults of two children, the Army Office of Special Trial Counsel announced.

Rivera, 49, was assigned to Headquarters Company, 11th Corps Signal Brigade, III Armored Corps.

In addition to the prison sentence, Rivera was punished with the total forfeiture of pay and allowances, a reduction in rank to E-1, and a dishonorable discharge from the Army.
