The Hill Country Needs Council is asking for the community's help as it prepares for its annual school supply drive, with organizers expecting to provide backpacks and school supplies to an estimated 850 to 900 Gillespie County students this year.

The Hill Country Needs Council is asking for the community's help as it prepares for its annual school supply drive, with organizers expecting to provide backpacks and school supplies to an estimated 850 to 900 Gillespie County students this year.
Executive Director Cindy Heifner said the organization expects an increase in the number of families needing assistance.
The program provides a backpack and the specific school supplies for each grade level and campus for all public schools in Gillespie County.
