MATAGORDA COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- After nearly six years, residents in the City of Matagorda County officially have a functional post office.

ABC13 reported Wednesday that the city still lacks one, even though it was promised to reopen after 10 months.

According to the United States Postal Service, the lease on the original building expired, but it was supposed to reopen within weeks; however, years passed.
