U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was revealed in a leak to be a member of Dialog, a secret society led by Peter Thiel, the controversial founder of defense-tech firm Palantir, tech-industry magazine Wired reports.

Dialog is a private, invitation-only organization the billionaire tech investor co-founded in 2006.

The group's retreats bring together U.S. politicians, foreign government officials and Silicon Valley executives.
