TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - The Temple mall will close at 7 p.m. Monday after the city ordered a temporary closure due to unresolved fire and building code violations.

Rob Brandenburg has owned businesses in the Temple mall for over a decade.

His connection to the mall runs deeper than business."My mother and father worked at stores in this mall when I was child and I was a mall rat, so, there's definitely a connection here over the years and the coffee shop that I have is named in memory of my mom Peggy and that music stage outside is name in memory of my dad Cutter," Brandenburg said.
