Arlington police say genetic technology finally identified 42yearold Mayra Velasquez as the suspect in the 2012 murder of Irasema Chavez, who was found stabbed in her apartment.

Velasquez, a former realtor and recent sales rep at a limo company, was arrested last week.

People who knew her were stunned, and her Lancaster family confirmed her residence but offered no comment on the case.
