BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Body cameras and dashboard cameras can provide some of the clearest evidence of what happens during encounters between law enforcement officers and the public.

But in Texas, those recordings are not always available to the public, even when questions are raised about an officer's actions or how an incident was handled.
