GAINES COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - Gaines County first responders and Seminole Memorial Hospital will conduct a hazmat training exercise Saturday morning in the area of NW 5th Street and Avenue E. Residents are asked to avoid the area if possible during the exercise.

A higher-than-normal presence of emergency personnel and emergency vehicles may be visible in the area, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said the exercise is planned and there is no emergency.
