(KXII) - The Thackerville Police Department has started to cover up Flock cameras throughout the city after ending their contract with Flock Safety for the controversial license plate readers.

The department announced that starting Monday, they would begin putting covers over the cameras as part of its decision to end its use of the technology.

In September, Police Chief Jonathan Buckaloo said the decision was made in part because of the importance of the department's relationship with residents.
