RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - Firefighters and oilfield workers are monitoring the site of an oil well blowout on County Road 173 in Rusk County, according to the Kilgore Fire Department.

The site is located between CR 173 and the U.S. Highway 259 bypass, near Kilgore Bible Church and Trinity Assembly of God, according to the department.

While there are no public safety concerns at this time, a loud noise is being emitted from the well, according to the department.
