Things went about as good as could be expected for the Boerne Champion football team last week after they went down to Laredo United and pummeled the Panthers, 60-7.

The 1-0 Chargers are home this week to host a new school, Long Creek, out of the New Braunfels district.

This is the Dragons' first varsity season, and they lost their opener to Davenport last week, 37-26.
