Laredo man with cartel ties sentenced to federal prison for fentanyl trafficking
A 24-year-old Laredo man with cartel ties was sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl mixed with xylazine to undercover officers.

LAREDO, Tex.
(KGNS) - A 24-year-old Laredo man with ties to a Mexican cartel has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison for fentanyl trafficking.
Jorge Medrano Jr. pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess fentanyl with intent to distribute.
