(KGNS) - State and local officials gathered to address the New World screwworm threat following a confirmed case in Zavala County, urging ranchers and landowners to report any suspected infestations immediately.

The meeting, which took place on Friday, June 5, at the Jim Hogg County Pavilion, followed Judge Juan Carlos Guerra's issuance of a local disaster declaration in response to the threat.
