With the recent completion of spill gate-replacement work at Lake McQueeney's dam, one organization is back to its old ways of entertaining patrons with exhilarating water ski shows.

The Lake McQueeney Ski Bees kicked off its first 2026 summer show June 18 after the March completion of work on Lake McQueeney's dam.

It's been a long journey from the drained lake to a body of water full of lake enthusiasts, and the Ski Bees were ready to return to the water, Ski Show Director Carl Pfullmann said.
