An annual event is scheduled for people young and old to have a shell of a good time Saturday celebrating Seguin's favorite nut.

Seguin Pecan Fest kicks off Saturday morning in downtown Seguin with various events stretching across the city and lasting into the night, said Lindsay Hajek, assistant director of Seguin Main Street and Destination Seguin.
