The mid-1970s song by John Denver, "Ain't It Good to Be Back Home Again," could have been the theme song for last week at the Kerr County Courthouse, as staff in several offices on the main floors of the courthouse and annex were finally able to return after the July flood forced them to relocate.
"We are glad to be home. The move back to the courthouse went very smoothly. We were lucky because nothing in our office was damaged; we were only displaced," said County Clerk Nadene Alford.
The 15 employees in the county clerk's office are now fully able to handle all the business of the office with the public.
