ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - A construction worker who was caught in Friday's mass shooting in Midland says he is grateful to be alive after gunfire shattered the rear window of his truck as he drove to work.

Jos Manuel J.R., originally from Reforma, Chiapas, Mexico, shared his experience following the shooting that left the community shaken.

According to Jos Manuel, he was driving to work between 7:45 a.m. and 8 a.m. when he suddenly heard multiple gunshots.
