Instead of traveling to Austin to play the Northeast junior varsity, Tivy's JV football team made a shorter trip to San Antonio on Thursday, where the Antlers beat Pieper's JV B team 24-15, while the freshmen played and defeated Harlandale.

Junior Varsity Sam Balderas started Tivy JV's scoring with a 65-yard run in the first quarter.

Andres Olguin followed up Balderas' touchdown with a successful extra-point kick.
