One lane of northbound U.S. 181 is the only lane open to traffic north of Floresville from F.M. 775 toward Bexar County, following a major crash on the highway earlier this morning.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find alternate routes between Floresville and Elmendorf.

Southbound lanes of U.S. 181 will remain closed until further notice, as law-enforcement continues its investigation into the accident, according to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.
