A house fire sent a Guadalupe County woman to an area hospital for smoke inhalation Tuesday night as crews fought the blaze that destroyed her home, officials said.

No one else reported being hurt as a result of the fire and the woman is expected to recover, Guadalupe County Assistant Fire Marshal Bryce Houlton said.
