LA MARQUE, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was struck by gunfire from outside a home in La Marque on Friday morning, police said.

According to the La Marque Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Franlee Street at about 4:25 a.m. Officers said they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds, with initial information indicating she was shot three times.

The victim was taken to the nearby hospital for medical treatment, officials said.
