LAREDO, Tex.

(KGNS) - The South Texas Food Bank (STFB) is spending September raising awareness about hunger as part of a nationwide campaign known as Hunger Action Month.

Sofia Ramos with STFB said the campaign's main goal is to raise awareness of food insecurity, both nationwide and locally."Hunger Action Month is a nationwide campaign, and the main topic is to raise awareness of food insecurity here in the nation. For the South Texas Food Bank, it is a great opportunity to not only talk about hunger, but to actually show people that they can fight it with us," Ramos said.
