The Longview City Council approved a plan to address a pay gap affecting most city workers, according to a pay study that has been in the works since last year.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The Longview City Council approved a plan to address a pay gap affecting most city workers, according to a pay study that has been in the works since last year.
The study compared Longview to 14 other cities throughout Texas and found about 80% of the city's staff earns below the market average.
The average pay is 16% below the average of the compared cities.
