TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Tyler Mayor Stuart Hene has appointed former Mayor Don Warren as president of the city's Half Cent Sales Tax Board.

The board reviews capital improvement projects funded through Tyler's Half Cent Sales Tax Fund and votes to approve or deny funding recommendations before they are sent to the Tyler City Council for final approval.

The board oversees projects supported by a half percent of the city's sales tax, generating about $20 million annually.
