TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A town hall in Tyler brought community leaders and residents together to address gun violence and push for real solutions.

The meeting came after 5-year-old Josiah Williams was shot in the head May 29 at the Victory Park Apartments in North Tyler."We have work to do, community, we have some work to do," said Judge Derrick Choice.

Action took center stage as residents and leaders gathered to turn ideas into solutions focused on reducing gun violence and building safer neighborhoods."Baby Josiah was really the catalyst that makes us all stop and take pause to what exactly is happening with this generation that feels as though they can commit these violent acts within a residential space," said Kimberly Williams, founder of 'Stop the Violence TX' and organizer of the meeting.
