The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department will host the city's first Bark in the Park event on Saturday, Sept. 12, in partnership with Kerrville Pets Alive!

The free community event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sample Park, 3605 Loop 534, and invites pet owners, animal lovers and families to attend.

Bark in the Park celebrates pets and strengthens the community by connecting residents with local resources that promote animal health, welfare and responsible ownership, according to the department.
