MART, Texas (KWTX) - KWTX has learned that Mart head football coach and athletic director Chris Lancaster has resigned from his position.

In a press release from Mart ISD on Thursday, the district shared that Lancaster "has resigned from his position as Athletic Director/Head Football Coach of Mart ISD effective today." Lancaster was hired by Mart in 2025 after serving as head coach for the Robinson Rockets for two seasons.

In Lancaster's 14 games spanning over two seasons with Mart, he went 7-7.
