SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A man was arrested after being indicted for his role in the arson of a Troup mobile home in June 2024 by a Smith County Grand Jury.

According to the indictment, Raymond Earl Thorndyke IV, of Bonham, was indicted in August 2025 for the arson of a mobile home in the 700 block of East Paschal Street in Troup.

The indictment alleges Thorndyke set fire to the mobile home by using a device to light an ignitable liquid in the home.
