MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Bond has been set at a combined $3 million for a Midland man now facing two murder charges in connection with a deadly June 1 crash that followed a high-speed chase through the city.

According to Midland County authorities, Roberto Pando III is being held on a $2 million bond for a newly filed murder charge and a separate $1 million bond tied to an earlier murder charge stemming from the same incident.

Pando was re-arrested after investigators were notified on June 9 that one of the passengers seriously injured in the crash had died, according to an arrest affidavit.
