Jakob Willmann, formerly the civilian coordinator for Comal County Crime Stoppers, was arrested June 22 on charges of theft of a public servant and abuse of official capacity, according to the Comal County Sheriff's Department.
Specifically, Willmann is charged with abuse of official capacity involving property valued between $750 and $2,500, and with theft of property valued at $2,500 or more but less than $30,000.
Per its website, Comal County Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization run by volunteer citizens that provides ways to report crime anonymously and confidentially.
