Uvalde city and county governments have announced special meetings this week to discuss next steps in flood recovery.

Uvalde County Commissioners will meet at 3 p.m. July 21 to discuss extending and modifying the local declaration interim county judge Jerry W. Bates signed July 14. Commissioners will meet at the courthouse, 100 N. Getty St. There will not be a public comment period.

Commissioners also met July 18 for an emergency meeting regarding a potential presidential disaster declaration and to learn how to prepare reimbursement documentation for FEMA.
